We came with another grouped family so all inall there was 4 adults & 5 children. We had an enjoyable experience bbqing and exploring the area. We visited Bakewell & took the small children to Drayton Manor.

need to say that the kid’s areas are very good and one of our kids enjoyed the train ride at the weekend but that is as far as the positives went for us. The facilities are most likely adequate in number so why spoil the site with unsightly blue hired loos that aren’t erected level anyway? The single WC near to us didn’t lock so we girls didn’t utilize it, but apparently it wasn’t very appealing anyway.

Thankyou all at Golden Valley for a wonderful stay. We booked this weekend at Golden Valley a couple weeks ago we have been on two previous occasions and I have to say the website is lovely, clean and there is loads for the kids to do in a protected climate however the attitude of the dog owner leaves quite definitely to be desired. On arrival my sister in law alongside my husband went to the office to pay the total amount and my sister in law asked Darren should they had encountered all the heavy rain he informed her they had but the grass was not too bad since it had been spiked. My buddy was told where you can pitch our tents and due to the road around the grass being blocked by cars he proceded to cross to the plots on the grass something that we had done on our previous visits. Darren completly lost the plot chasing my brothers car waving his arms and using abusive language whilst my daughter and my nephews were in the automobile.

Golden Valley Caravan Park Is Ideal For ..

The guys on the webpage work very hard the site gets the bar that opens on the weekend but if you wanted to have a beer on a night the cafe serves and has a well stocked fridge. The camp does get very busy on a weekend ( but surly that’s because of it being very popular) but I could say stayed for 7 nights and had no issues at all and most of us had a good time. Considering we had to travel 3 hours to get there we will certainly be returning but probably with a few more family and friends thanks Mark to you and your team we had a great time. There is plenty to accomplish at the park for the whole family.

• , (first-time out with it!!), The meals in the cafe/bar was delicious so much so that my youngest was declining our offerings from the bbq so she could go and eat there.
• From the weekend at Golden Valley We have just returned, we had an absolutly wonderful time, we camped on the bottom field.
• The staff in the reception and the cafe are very helpful.
• The staff work hard to make sure the site is kept tidy and clean, the bins regularly are emptied, and the toilets are also cleaned regularly too.
• He really has thought of everything to make your stay really pleasant.

Dedicated cleaners are essential for busy periods – we arrived on the monday and the toilets/showers in the most notable field were filthy and were not given an intensive clean for the entire week we have there been. Site has good facilities for children but that’s about it in my view. Since this review I have already been contacted by the caravan park to see me that he was “miffed” by this review and continued to be unprofessional in his unpleasantness and insulting manner. His subsequent comments on this site also prove that it was the right decision to complain no further on site and make the very best of a bad situation. It is only fair to add that the other staff in attendance were very polite and the person really let the whole site down.

So, anyway, off we went for 90 minutes and thankfully on return we were met and booked in by a member of staff who was simply a lot more courteous and had some extent of customer service. Thank you, I don’t know your name, but many thanks anyway! Putting the sooner incident behind us, we looked forward to addressing our pitch; however I was soon to be faced with another situation that was less than pleasing. In order to try to prevent this eventuality we backed our van directly around the side of my sisters van with this awning on the grass to ensure that we would not get blocked in, this left 2/3rds of our joint pitch open for other campers cars approximately. Whenever we left site I had to put an indicator and rope of a location in order we could get back in. A very nice site with friendly staff and incredibly good facilities. A very important factor i didnt like, and might well stop me going was the pitches for the tourers again.

I have been on several sites since yours and they have all done this. Had read many reviews on this website and thought there have been some excellent ones and some not so good. We arrived on a Monday and we’d two children one aged 11 and the other 9 from enough time we set the tent up to your day we left we hardly seen them other than when they were hungry.

Regarding me the warden and owner of this park, I make an effort to please everybody on this website. Bank holidays are extremely busy, and we work very long hours to please. About the electrics they are all 16 amp you’d way too much heaters on it causing it to blow the fuses.
